My Project
Magna-Tiles are a wonderful learning tool. Students love them and are happy to spend hours playing (AKA working!) with them without even realizing they are learning! Magna-Tiles benefit mental acuity by developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They boost physical acuity by improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
For younger learners, Magna-TIles can be used to encourage students to learn colors, to sort and classify by shape, color and size, and to create or replicate patterns.
For older learners, Magna-TIles can be used to encourage critical thinking skills, problem solving, imaginative play, collaboration, and creativity. Children struggling with sensory issues, attention and focus, motor planning, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills also greatly benefit from Magna-TIles.
The sets included in this request will be used in STEAM classes (children will be asked to build 3D structures), early literacy classes (children will be asked to construct 2D representations of upper and lower case letters as well as to use Eric Carle sets to sequence well-known books), science (students will be asked to create a representation of various animal habitats), and math classes (children will be asked to recreate a pattern or tangram).
