My Project
If there is one material that I can count on engaging my pre-k students, it is Magna Tiles! There are so many ways to use them in small groups, and endless possibilities while children work independently in learning centers to construct and create.
These simple tiles foster creativity, build math sense and language skills, increase motor development, and encourage collaboration with peers!
They are an all around amazing tool for student learning, no matter how students engage with them!
I have a basic set of Magna Tiles and use them throughout the entire year by rotating a variety of other materials to use with them. When Magna Tiles started to produce theme based sets, I knew that I needed to try to add some to my classroom learning centers. The Magna Tile sets that I chose for this grant compliment the theme units for the curriculum that my district uses. I choose materials carefully in an effort to help children make connections and these materials will do just that!
I am excited for the potential to support student learning throughout the entire year with some fresh materials that I know my students will love! Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting my classroom through this project!
