This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are curious, eager to learn new things, and they LOVE Roald Dahl books. My school is a Title I school. Many of our families qualify for free or reduced-rate lunches. These students do not always have opportunities to purchase chapter books that interest them.
My students have big hearts and even bigger imaginations.
They would be thrilled to have the opportunity to read more books by Roald Dahl. With your support, they will get to escape to a world of magic during our daily reading block.
My Project
I want to provide enriching reading experiences in my class. Our reading series is old and not always interesting to the students. This project will be a supplement to our reading curriculum. These books will aid students in becoming fluent readers, thus leading to better comprehension. This project will expose my students to complex text and one of the greatest children's literature authors.
I am eager to instill a passion and love for reading in my students.
