Magical Moments Are a Must!

My Students

My students can be inquisitive and lovable all at the same time. I have students who are truly engaged in their academic learning, while a few are still working on developing socially appropriate interactions with themselves and their peers. My students' goal is to develop skills that will have them energized for learning.

For me what stands out the most is my student willingness to want to help others in the classroom and school.

There are several students new to our school routine, and scholars step up to help them to transition to our school culture. Another example of their helpfulness is with the classroom teacher, ME. I have a habit of putting items down or misplacing them. Whenever that happens they are more than willing to help. I truly enjoy guiding the learning of my busy but lovable students.

My Project

My students are in need of a rug for reading and exploring. During our literacy block, students are encouraged to read and enjoy books while rotating through centers. The Alphabet rug will also be used to explore different early reading skills. The rug is our main meeting place and is central to our learning environment.

The guiding reading books are key to helping my struggling readers explore reading.

The books are colorful, engaging and with repetitive text, making it easier for my young readers to enjoy literature. Reading is a must in our classroom and school culture. Magical moments happen when a kindergartner opens a book.
