My Project
My students love to create things, especially if it involves a personalized experience. In first grade, we often do writing projects and include pictures of the students to make it personal. It also creates a great opportunity to display their cute photos and writing samples in the hallway.
Including photos of students with their writing is a great way to create a lasting keepsake for students and families.
We have done writing samples in the past that include making the students into elves for Christmas writing, making a Halloween costume for the principal or teacher, and making students into a butterfly for spring writing.
Each time we did a project, we had to send the pictures in to get them printed and go to pick them up. Having a photo printer would make these projects so much easier. Students will have wonderful writing samples with cute pictures to cherish for years to come.
