Help me give my students the best manipulatives to allow them to learn through hands-on learning and exploration. Each student will have the ability to use their imagination to create meaningful creations.
Our Pre-K classroom consists of 20 diverse students eager to learn each and every day. We are a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. We love to learn through play by incorporating our standards into every activity we participate in daily. Our students show excitement and great interest in new hands on activities that are both creative and engaging in the classroom environment. I am a first year teacher that desires to reach each student at all levels, and I’m eager to provide a positive learning experience to begin my student’s educational journey.
My Project
The use of manipulatives are a daily use in our classroom. Our students learn to explore, problem solve, and create wonderful designs using their manipulatives. Having new manipulatives would allow our students to be engaged and excited to explore and learn.
Manipulatives are not toys, they are a way for children to build their problem solving skills.
Children learn through play and incorporating many different forms of manipulatives would allow for our students to learn in a hands-on learning environment.
Overall, this project would allow our students to enhance their fine motor skills, creative thinking skills, and learn how to problem solve.
