The use of manipulatives are a daily use in our classroom. Our students learn to explore, problem solve, and create wonderful designs using their manipulatives. Having new manipulatives would allow our students to be engaged and excited to explore and learn. Manipulatives are not toys, they are a way for children to build their problem solving skills. Children learn through play and incorporating many different forms of manipulatives would allow for our students to learn in a hands-on learning environment. Overall, this project would allow our students to enhance their fine motor skills, creative thinking skills, and learn how to problem solve.
