My students bring such joy to my life and I am thankful to be their teacher. We seriously have some of the best students in our small- town elementary school. I know that every school and every teacher says that, but I know just how amazing our students are.
My students are always ready to try something new, because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.

Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents and staff work to get us everything we need.

My Project
I will use these black lights to make learning fun. I will use these materials to enhance the black light experience.
Using black lights helps to create the magic of learning.
I like to have my students expecting the unexpected. A few weeks ago I played black light mini golf and I immediately told my husband that I would love to transform my room into a black light experience at different times throughout the year. Black lights open a whole new world of room transformation that can and will take place in my classroom. Learning should be fun. A teacher should create magic in their rooms.
All the neon and metallic items in my project will be used to transform different parts of my room to "black light" magic. The speaker will be used to listen to the beautiful music we love to hear as we are working. The pop phones will be used to create amplified recordings on our iPads. Lastly, the Osmo Coding Jam will be used during the Hour of Code and more, for my students to code their own music!
