My Project

My students love to listen and watch the ocean calming music on YouTube everyday. I would like to give my students a real life version by giving them a classroom fish aquarium.

"If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water." Some children never get the chance to go on vacations to the beach, go to the zoo or even the aquarium.

I want to be able to give them a peek at something other than their home life. Having a classroom aquarium, I will be able to house many different kinds of fish for children to be able to see everyday. This project will also help teach my students responsibility by learning to care for another individual by feeding and cleaning their environment to make sure they stay alive. They would also learn about other ecosystems they aren't use to seeing when having an aquarium.

I hope this project will help children with many things such as anxiety, stress, responsibility, social emotional learning and so many others. This project will not only help with education but also with their mental health. I truly believe a classroom aquarium will reach all children in so many different ways.
