Magic flashlight art is a fairly simple project that always provides great results. Students draw on a transparent piece of paper or plastic film with a black sharpie, We then layer the film on top of a black piece of paper and you can no longer see the drawing. You then slide a "magic flashlight" which is just a cut piece of white paper in the shape of a flashlight, when you slide the "flashlight" under the piece of film you can reveal sections of your drawing with the flashlight.
This project would be a great opportunity for older students to interact with younger students, allowing the older students to create the drawings and the younger students to reveal the drawings and explore with the flashlight.
The older students could then work with the younger students to create a second piece of art after exploring the concept with them.
