My Project
My students enjoy sitting on the rug during Morning Meeting, whole group instruction, and small groups. They like taking ownership of their own personal space. Our classroom rug helps them learn about personal boundaries and have a different space to engage in learning. The classroom rug we presently have is going to be small, since my class size is doubling next year. There are no designated squares. A new rug will solve these problems.
I would like to provide a new, larger classroom rug to enhance community learning for my 3rd grade students next year.
On this rug, stories will be shared, thinking will take place, collaboration will happen, and memories will be made. This will help enhance learning in our 3rd grade classroom.
