This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We use the classroom rug a lot throughout the day. We love to gather in a circle to discuss our favorite part of a book, for story time, and being able to be hands on with learning. My favorite part of having a rug in the classroom is to build a classroom family. Students need a place in the classroom that is comfortable and safe. We spend lots of time learning and sharing. A classroom rug is an essential part of my classroom. On the classroom rug, students will start and end their day at the rug. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.
