This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We love to read and would like to have a nice area to kick back and read our favorite books. A beautiful carpet would do the trick.

My third grade students are a very inquisitive bunch.

They love learning. These twenty four students are smart and try very hard to get the most out of every day they are in school. Our school district is experiencing huge budget cuts but my class tries to seize each opportunity given to them.

My Project

As simple as it seems a rug would enrich our environment by giving us a special place to relax and read our favorite chapter books. Currently we sit on the cold hard floor or in stiff chairs which are not very comfortable. So with a new rug we will be able to read and enjoy our books in a comfortable space. We also will use the rug when we share our projects and reports.

Our classroom would be vastly improved with an area rug.

Thank you for considering this project and because of your kindness we will be able to take a "magic carpet ride" as we read.
