The day is finally here, we get to go back to the carpet for learning time! Since the start of Covid-19 the classroom has looked drastically different then it once did. My first grade class could no longer sit on the carpet together for lessons and stories. Students had to be social distanced at individual desks. Books were projected on the board so the students at the back of the class could see.
With your help we can bring carpet time back into the classroom!
At the carpet, students participate in numerous activities. The carpet is very important because we start and end our day gathering on the carpet. It is a place for students to be welcomed in the morning and to receive final thoughts and smiles before they leave the classroom and head to whatever home life they face.
