Magazines We Can Read Together and Call Our OWN, Forever!
My students need high quality literature resources to help develop reading skills while incorporating other content areas! We need Scholastic News Classroom Magazines.
We are a first grade class of 25 students who are beginning their journey as lifelong learners. Many of my students cherish the opportunity to utilize our hands-on interactive class learning materials. They are always making suggestions for new class projects and I love being able to provide these opportunities.
My students always arrive eager to learn, full of curiosity, with the desire to showcase their knowledge in new, creative ways.
Ultimately, these materials help provide tangible learning experiences that promote a lifetime love of learning.
My Project
We are asking for a class subscription to Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines. We can then access online resources that allow us read and print texts that are at our current reading levels. These works of literature are an invaluable resource to students providing relevant reading resources. Ownership of the materials allow students to buy into reading the text and becoming a reader for life. In my experience, I have found text that belongs to each student to be the most influential tool to inspire self motivated learning.
Our goal is to inspire students to develop a lifelong love of learning and reading!
The added bonus is the ability to integrate subject area content in an early education classroom while maintaining a reading goals.
