My Students

I am the Media Coordinator/ School Librarian at a small and beautiful school of around 150 children. It is located in a friendly rural community that is rich in cultural heritage. Approximately 60% of students receive free or reduced-priced lunch.

Our school is very much like a family.

It is not unusual to see students stepping in to help a fellow classmate who is struggling. Our students practice showing love all day, every day.

Our students are eager to learn, despite the many challenges they face. Every day is an opportunity to learn and love.

My Project

Magazines subscriptions will be a fabulous addition to our Media Center.

My students have a wide array of interests.

The magazine subscriptions that I am requesting will allow for students to read in their interest area; animals, jokes, comics, and even sports.

I am also requesting markers and cardstock for students to use when creating projects in the Media Center.

My students have not had access to quality magazines for quite some time. They will love reading these magazines during their weekly visits to the Media Center. They can then use the markers and cardstock to create projects that show some of the neat things that they learn.
