This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 7th and 8th grade middle schoolers in a dynamic and diverse neighborhood. Our school is always looking for new ways to engage and motivate our students so that they enjoy coming to school each day.
Our students thrive when they are engaged and interacting with each other in a positive, attention grasping manner.
They enjoy learning through all different modalities and they love to understand the world around them and how it applies to their daily lives.
My Project
Having a Spanish Scholastic magazine subscription will provide immersive, on-level articles that my students will enjoy reading. They include practical vocabulary and even scaffolding techniques to help build proficiency. In addition, the subscription provides activities with supporting media that helps students improve grammar and comprehension.

These subscriptions are appropriate for students at any level. The first one, titled "¿Qué Tal?" provides an immersive and accessible introduction to Spanish. The second, titled "Ahora" has engaging Spanish texts designed for intermediate students. Lastly, the third magazine, titled "El Sol" serves as a Spanish class resource for intermediate as well as advanced learners.
