Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are superstars! We have such a great community of students and families. They are hard workers, with dreams of success for their future. Ninety-nine percent of our scholars qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. For many of them, English is not their primary language. We try our best to create an environment of loving learning, especially literacy. Our students get very excited whenever we get new supplies in our classroom. Thank you in advance for thinking of us!
My Project
At our school, we try and have kids reading at all times, even during lunch! We are trying to supply our students with engaging weekly magazines to read during lunch. Time for Kids and Scholastic magazines are just the right fit! They will help our scholars keep up with current events and give them something interesting to read during lunch. When’s the last time you found time to read for pleasure during lunch? Probably not in your recent memory! By donating, you will give an entire school the ability to have something fun and engaging to read during lunch. Thank you!
