Help my students learn about the world around them with their own magazine! Each month, our students will learn about the world, learn new vocabulary, practice their reading skills, and interact with the content.
Our Kindergarten students are busy learners who learn best when they are able to explore and create with their hands. They love to show off their learning and are excited for opportunities to work together.
Kindergarten is full of new adventures and big "ah ha" moments!
In kindergarten, we learn that letters have sounds, words make sentences, and sentences tell stories. They become confident readers and authors of their own adventures.
Our students are unique learners because so much is new to them and they need to be taught in more interactive, small chunks. Our bodies and brains are very busy!
My Project
We are asking for a renewed Scholastic News subscription so that every kindergartner at our school will be able to get a weekly newsletter full of information, fun, and learning. Each magazine has a new theme which engages our students. These topics are generally focused on science and social studies content.
Scholastic News allow our students to read about the world around them.
They learn new vocabulary, big ideas, and practice their emerging reading skills. These magazines complement our science and social studies units perfectly. They allow us to enhance our content and provide more opportunity for discussion at school and at home.
