Our School's Sensory Room

Help me give my students a variety of multi-sensory tools, such as a weighted blanket, inflatable Pea Pod, and steamroller, to help them ready their bodies and minds for learning.

My Students

All of our students are special and unique in their own individual way and are full of energy and enthusiastic about learning. They are PreK-4th grade and possess a wide range of abilities. Our students are capable of learning, they just need the opportunity to do so in a way that meets their specific needs. We believe the vision we have for this new sensory room will help ensure academic, emotional, and social success for all students at Madison Elementary.

My Project

By helping to fund my project, you will be ensuring that appropriate sensory materials are available to better address the crucial sensory needs of our students. The steamroller machine will assist in giving students' with poor body awareness, anxiety, and hyperactivity a chance to receive deep pressure input that will help them regulate their emotions, minds, and bodies. Additionally, the weighted blanket and the inflatable "pea pod" will offer deep pressure and a safe, snug area to complete work or to de-escalate. Helping our students prepare their bodies for learning, will improve their academic and social success each school day.
