We are fortunate this year at Madison Elementary, that we have been able to bring back a classroom completely devoted to meeting our students' sensory needs. There are often times that the regular classroom can become overstimulating to students and they simply need a spot in the school where they can take a break. We want to create an environment that provides them this opportunity. This sensory room, once stocked with the right sensory tools, will help meet students' sensory needs while also providing any student in the building a place to go to that is calming with a soothing atmosphere.

About my class
