This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math centers are such an important part of our day. These materials will give my students access to hands-on materials and games to use during math centers and small group work.
In first grade, students need a lot of multi-sensory learning experiences.
They need to touch and feel what they are learning about as they add, subtract, and build number sense. These materials will help build a concrete foundation in math before moving on to more abstract concepts.
These supplies on my list, like the wooden 10 frames and grab-and-play centers, will give my students a lot of experience with the math concepts we are working on.
