My Students

I am blessed to teach a rambunctious and enthusiastic group of 5th graders. They enjoy reading, writing, and movement of any kind. The heart and soul of my classroom are making my students feel both loved and safe. They are still excited to learn and their inquisitive minds are always searching for the answers to why. Our school is located in a mostly rural area where the majority of families are lower income. It is a tight-knit community and our children are counted as our greatest assets.

My Project

My district does not provide laptop computers for their teachers. Having a MacBook would greatly improve my productivity and enable me to plan and produce high quality lessons for my students. This MacBook would also allow me to better communicate with administration and parents. I’d love to have my students help me create a weekly newsletter or even a Podcast to help keep everyone in the loop. A laptop such as this MacBook will also help us to take our learning on the go as it will provide mobility and wireless access.
