Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last school year, some of my students had the opportunity to engage in Computer Science with the implementation of Code.com’s Computer Science Discoveries curriculum using Lenovo laptops. This year, I want to encourage all of my students to engage in Computer Science because, as computer science becomes so deeply inseparable from our work, this skillset is essential to career readiness across a multitude of industries and job functions.

With well-developed computer science and digital skills, students are more competitive in the job market for high-paying and quickly growing job domains.

Also, I would love for my students to have the opportunity to engage in this work while using MacBooks due to the interest previously expressed by them.
