Lysol and Learning

My Students

I've been a classroom teacher for over 20 years. I've taught various grade levels throughout my career. I am expecting a fabulous year with our upcoming 7th graders. I am excited about the opportunity to get to know each of them. This year will be especially different with us returning from a year of virtual learning.

My Project

After spending an entire school year teaching virtually, I discovered that many of my scholars struggled to remain focused and consistent. Now that we are back to in-person learning, scholars are more engaged and prefer the option to be in a classroom and building surrounded by their peers and supportive teachers.

One of my daily routines is spraying down my room between each class and having scholars use Lysol wipes to clean their desk area to help keep down the spread of Covid-19.

Unfortunately, Lysol is a costly cleaning supply to maintain. I have been purchasing cans and wipes on my own. With the support of our amazing donors, I can continue to ensure that the students I serve are learning in a clean, safe, and sterile environment.
