My Students

Students at our elementary school regularly sing, dance, and play small percussion instruments.

Our school is a Title I school in a small southern town near a military base. Our town was rated the fifth most patriotic town in the United States! Our nearly 800 students are a very diverse group who love music class. They receive music instruction once a week. They eagerly wait for their music classes! I am fortunate to teach in a wonderful school where teachers are supported and student learning is a priority.

My Project

Each grade level works to put on a mini-musical each year. They work tirelessly for two months on the show. During these two months, they are learning many music fundamentals. They also are learning to become performers and to show the audience what they have learned. The students love to perform!

Our stage is in the large lunchroom and the acoustics are not the best.

It is difficult for the students to be heard unless they are speaking directly into a microphone. These condenser mics will help all of the students to be heard regardless of where they are standing on the stage.
