This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is important to me to teach my students about the world around them. Every year, I take my students on a journey to learn about the holidays celebrated worldwide. This project would provide us with the materials needed to create souvenirs for a Lunar New Year celebration. Panda Express has an amazing Lunar New Year curriculum to support learning, and this project will enhance that.

These specialized materials each serve a significant purpose for our Lunar New Year learning in 2025, the year of the snake.

The books would add to our read around the world journey. The decorations would symbolize health, peace, happiness, good luck and wealth, filled with the atmosphere of the 2025 Lunar New Year. Students would get to try the fortune cookies.

Help expand our worldview while learning about tolerance and empathy. We are the kindness kingdom, improving the future, one thinker at a time.
