My Project

Our school district boasts the most diverse student population in our state and is the fifth most diverse district in the country!

It is our mission in the library to make sure that every child sees themselves well-represented on our shelves.

By building our Lunar New Year book collection, some students will see that their culture is valued and respected, and others will have the opportunity to learn about a celebration different from their own.

Learning about different cultures and traditions helps our students connect home to school and helps students understand each other better - the goal being a more inclusive and caring global community.
