Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting several Lunar New Year books and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for activities. I am building up my library on holidays around the world, and I need more books about the Lunar New Year. These books will help me plan this year's Lunar New Year lessons. I am also requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase activities to complement the books about the Lunar New Year.
My goal is to introduce my inquisitive students to cultural traditions that are celebrated around the world.
Many of these cultural holidays are also celebrated in our community yet my students are unfamiliar with their significance.
This year, I have students that are fearless. They like to participate and are willing to try any challenge I set forth for them. They love learning new concepts and ask me many questions.
