Lunar Lantern Design Challenge Part 2

Help me give my students samples of lanterns for our Lunar New Year lantern making challenge as well as Murdle books as incentives to do a good job on their lanterns.

My Project

This will be my second year teaching my STEAM students about Lunar New Year and providing a Lunar New Year Lantern Challenge. The challenge is the same, the criteria and constraints different. I’m hoping to spice things up with a little competition during each class. My students love puzzle books, what better way to motivate students than to have puzzle books as the prize for our Lunar New Year Lantern Challenge!

I also want to make sure my students have an idea of what paper lanterns look like and how they may want to go about building them with the supplies I provide, so I’m asking for a variety of paper lanterns in different shapes and sizes for students to look at while researching and planning.

Thank you for helping my students become more critical thinkers while learning about cultures and celebrations from around the world.
