My students need notebooks to take notes, respond to questions, write essays, and have a place to record their thoughts. They need good, old-fashioned, low tech notebooks.

My Students
My students are bright, energetic, and full of the right kind of potential. Unfortunately, they are also coming from a community that has too much blight, violence, and poverty. They are constantly battling against circumstances that can lead to frustration, failure, and fear,
These students must not let circumstances they can't control hinder their potential and growth as learners.
They want to be successful. They want to positively impact their futures. They want to learn.
I want to provide them with every opportunity to be the students I know they can be.
My Project
Having a personal space to write is a necessity in my class. But asking students to provide their own notebooks means that some students will be left out. Providing the notebooks means that all students have the opportunity to learn and succeed.
In a school surrounded by poverty and violence, something as simple as a notebook can change a student's life.
Learning to take notes is an essential skill for success in my class as well as college. Having a notebook of their own gives students a sense of pride and ownership. Donating to this project will provide an ordinary object that can lead to an extraordinary future.
