This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me bring the magic of weaving to my classroom by funding these awesome supplies to help me demonstrate on a LARGE SCALE how to weave. Weaving involves tiny movements of precision, having a large-scale loom will give me the visual needed so that students can better understand the fundamental processes of weaving. Student can then replicate this process on their smaller tabletop looms. So much time has been lost learning simple art practices that have such rich history throughout time and within many cultures due to COVID. By sharing these skills with students, they will also learn this rich history. They can also practice hand and eye coordination, which a lot of my students lack. Help me make up for the time by teaching this skill that my students will remember for a lifetime!
