A typical day in my classroom is jam-packed with academics, fun, and high energy. We are a class of 25 rural students from Ohio, and I teach in an inclusive setting. I'm very passionate and dedicated to my students and teaching.
My students are so inquisitive and eager to learn and love a good challenge!
I get excited when my students accomplish something they didn't think was possible. I also get excited when I see my students grow not only as a learner but as a person! I love seeing them become lifelong learners. My students are bright, highly motivated, and love to learn. We love to use our brains to develop critical thinking skills and problem-solving.
My Project
My classroom library is one of the most important spaces in my room. It is where students go to explore new places, fall in love with a new book, or just relax with a silly story. Over the past 5 years, my book bins have started breaking and falling apart. It has forced me to combine genres and sizes of books, making it difficult for students to search for new reading.
I want students to enjoy visiting our class library and be able to easily find new books to enjoy.
With these bins, I will sort book topics and genres and label each type. This will allow students to book shop and find their interests easier. It will also help teach them how to return a book to it's correct place. These bins are also very sturdy and will last for many years!
