This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am reaching out to request donations for educational materials to support my native and Hispanic students for my Spanish class, ensuring they receive a quality education. As a teacher, I face the challenge of instructing two different groups with distinct lesson plannings. This means I need a separate board for each group of students. A board for each group would greatly improve the learning environment and make it easier to deliver lessons effectively.

In addition to the boards, I also require cushions for the reading space and other pedagogical activities.

The cushions are essential for creating a comfortable and engaging area for students to read, work, and participate in various hands-on activities. Providing a dedicated, comfortable space will encourage students to become more interested in learning and will help foster a more positive classroom atmosphere.

Moreover, books are vital to enhance the students' reading abilities. Many of my students are still learning how to read, while others need more advanced reading material to strengthen their skills. Books will allow them to improve their literacy levels, increase their vocabulary, and build a love for reading that will serve them throughout their education.

When I first arrived at the school, the classroom had no materials or resources for teaching Spanish. All the furniture is old, ugly and in poor condition, and there are no teaching aids like posters, games or books available, except for what I brought from my home country. Neither a bookshelf. I am committed to providing the best possible education for my students, but I need your help to make this happen.
