Loving Literacy and Liking It

Help me give my students Volume control headphones and the Phonics Instant Learning Centers which will allow my students to master their reading and phonics skills in a fun away.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

Our school is nestled in the heart of central Oklahoma and serves a majority of students on free or reduced lunches.

My students struggle with academics but strive to be successful despite their learning difficulties.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are amazing and I love to see their growth academically.

My Project

My students struggle with basic reading skills. The Phonics Instant Learning Centers will allow them to remediate some of their phonics skills in a fun way instead of paper and pencil tasks.

Grade level texts and stories are sometimes difficult for my students, the headphones will allow them to listen to textbooks read aloud without disturbing the other students in my classroom.

My students struggle with traditional classroom teaching methods and excel with hands-on activities. The magnetic letters will allow them to complete spelling projects in a fun way. By donating to our project you will help my children become literate which will allow them to be more successful academically.
