My Students
My students are predominantly low socioeconomically but thrive on engaging themselves in learning. Every morning when they come in, they are eager to see the objectives and what we will be covering in each subject for the day. Even though most, if not all of them, are on free or reduced-price lunch plan, they are very friendly and welcoming with great social skills among their peers. My school is full of passionate teachers, teaching the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to our students to help them become leaders every day. Through their leadership, we can have a better tomorrow!
My Project
These materials are mostly storytelling sets with felt puppets to help keep my students engaged and excited during our virtual story telling! With the 3 Billy Goats Gruff as well as The Little Red Hen, we will be able to discuss a variety of reading comprehension strategies.
I've included many traditional stories as well as a few more modern ones full of laughs and learning.
Also included in my project are emotions dolls that I will use to help describe our feelings and emotions during class in our virtual classroom.
