Loving Economics and Reading in Middle School!

My Project

I would like to incorporate books on economics and finance to help students learn at an early age how to manage finances. I taught kindergarten for 29 years and made a move to middle school. I am starting over with a new middle school classroom.

I would like to build a new classroom library for my fifth and sixth graders that is engaging and promotes a love of reading, along with building a foundation of economic skills.

My school district is in a high-poverty area. I want to expose my students to different genres so they can find stories they love and want to read more! I have asked for books from fantasy, finance to historical fiction and at different grade levels to reach all my students.
