My Students
We are a first grade classroom at an urban, Title One school. My students come from a high-poverty area where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students do not have access to technology outside of the school setting.
My students are hard workers and always put forth their best effort.
They strive to be successful and will accomplish great things in life. My students deserve the world and it is my job, as their teacher, to try and give it to them.
My Project
My students have a passion for learning that stretches beyond the classroom. They strive to be young readers, yet sometimes struggle to remain focused on the learning at hand.
By having engaging literacy center games and activities, my students will be able to find the joy in learning to read and write.
My students are 6 and 7 years old, yet are expected to sit all day and learn. These reading and writing games and activities will help my students overcome their fidgeting and get pumped about practicing their reading and writing skills. It will bring the energy back to learning so that they can be successful!
