My first-grade students are a group of enthusiastic, energetic and excited little learners!
Each day, students come to class eager to learn and make the most out of their time at school.
Our school is a Title I low income school, and even though this does provide some challenges at times, we do everything we can to help all of my students succeed. My students are very appreciative and each day are learning and practicing how to be kind and caring individuals.
Do you remember listening to a great story and relating to characters and events that happen? My students love doing this too! With a new listening center and headphones for multiple students to listen at the same time, students will be given the opportunity to do just that! Students will get to know new characters and be introduced to new adventures! They will be exposed to a variety of genres, subject areas and topics that the books will cover. This listening center also has updated features Bluetooth technology allowing us to connect and utilize more of our devices within our classroom giving us even more capabilities and learning fun!
My students love to listen to stories and would love the chance to hear more books read to them during reading centers.
My students go to reading centers each day and take turns going once a week to the listening center where they are able to read a new story and then write about or create an art project that goes along with the book. Students absolutely love hearing new books but all we are missing is the CD player to give us the access to reading these new stories. Students will love the opportunity to go and hear a new characters adventure or see what nonfiction or science facts they can learn next. With your help, my students will be reading, learning and creating all after going to our new listening center!
