My Students

Never did I imagine that when I hugged my students goodbye and put them on the bus in March that it would be our last day together in the classroom. I miss seeing their faces light up our room each day, but even though we are not in the classroom, we are continuing to learn together!

My students and I have begun our distance learning journey!

We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate in live classroom meetings to catch up and continue to build our social and emotional skills. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and am so grateful for families' willingness to support their children's learning and make this the best possible learning experience given our situation!

My Project

My amazing students have been working incredibly hard to continue their learning online on Google Classroom and Seesaw. However, now that we approaching over a month that we have spent learning online, I am in need of more engaging picture books to teach my students about the world around us.

This project will provide books that are well written and beautifully illustrated, and my students will be so excited to see some of our favorite characters in new stories!

While I am sad that I cannot be with my students in the classroom, I know that these fun, engaging stories will bring a smile to their faces each day. Many feature characters we have previously read about, and this familiarity will bring comfort to my students during these trying times.
