My Students

I work in a high-poverty school, so at the beginning of the day I make sure all basic needs like breakfast and students being properly dressed are met before I start teaching. I greet my students with a handshake and a grin each morning. They come in, and we quickly get to work. They love to move while they work. Reading takes place all over the room. They love using technology to read and learn.

They are happy and enthusiastic kids, and I love that I get to help mold and prepare them for their future.

My Project

My kids love getting rewarded for their accomplishments. These prizes would allow me to recognize my kids and their hard work. The dry erase markers are used to write spelling words and do math problems. They love doing that. The pretty pictures will add some character to our classroom and create an inviting learning environment. They will love to look at items through the magnifying glasses. All of these items will have a small part in creating a influential classroom full of leaders. My goal is for my students to love school and to be passionate about learning. These items would help me create this space.
