Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The start of the school year is important for families to understand their child's attendance MATTERS. At Kingsley, we celebrate attendance every 25 days and we like to raffle off small to large gifts for our students throughout the school year. These giveaways will be presented at student assemblies so students and families understand how important it is for their child to be in school. It would be amazing to have a raffle for students who have perfect and excellent attendance, and even most improved attendance. I want to recognize all efforts and celebrate the successes of our students.

Celebrating attendance creates a fun and positive school culture for all staff, students, and families.

When students are at school, they are learning and on track to a bright future. For every celebration, the large plushies, bicycles, scooters, Lego sets, and art sets can be a great reward and motivation for students to come to school every day and on time. For the jumbo Jenga, Tic Tac Toe, and Connect 4 game, I plan to use these games for our big attendance lunch events where students can play games with their friends.
