My Students

The students in my class are THE most eager for education in literacy than any other school I have taught at. They truly love coming to school to learn new things. Every year that I have taught first grade, I try to instill the love of Reading Literacy into their lives and through projects and different books and resources, you can tell they thrive off new knowledge and really absorb every ounce of information their brains can hold! I would not be the teacher I am today if it weren't for my students' thirst for more!

My Project

As a school, we have access to books, but unfortunately the topics my students are most enthusiastic about, the books aren't on their level.

In First grade, the students are still trying to crack the code of reading: putting letters and patterns into words and sentences.

With these books, they will be fully engaged into their favorite topics. Along with their book series, the comfortable seating is a nice change for them from chair or floor seating. Instead of sitting on the floor around the room, my students can engage in their books on the couch or individual chair.

With these materials, my students are going to love literacy and reading more than ever!
