Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My amazing 2nd grade class is made up of students from a diverse array of backgrounds. They include English Language Learners and some with learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, BI, and autism. I have students coming from single-parent homes and migrant children living with relatives other than their parents. Despite the challenges most of my students face, I am extremely proud of their efforts and eagerness to learn. In our classroom as well as our school, we strive to provide all students with a quality education in a nurturing environment that helps produce well-rounded individuals ready to contribute to society.

My students are creative, inquisitive, and ready for new challenges.

They love to be involved in school projects and academic competitions including Science Fair, Brainsville, UIL, and coding.

Our school is located a few miles from the international border with Mexico which makes our student population very unique.

My Project

We sure do love school and this project is all about love and Valentine's Day. We are requesting a variety of craft items like bulletin board border, heart garland and a pop it gift to make celebrating Valentine's Day super fun! We are also requesting a variety of decorations to decorate the classroom the month of Valentine's in February. We will also be using some these items for our STEM projects.

My 2nd graders have NEVER had a normal school year and I am doing my best to give them normal by providing some great items for Valentine's Day.

I am so excited to see the love and joy on my students' faces when we get to have fun together!
