This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a small neighborhood community and go to a Title I school. They receive a free breakfast and a free or reduced-price lunch each day. They are a resilient group of boys and girls who enjoy learning even if it means doing it at home.

My Project

Students are yearning for some personal connection. Meeting on Zoom is what we have been doing but there's still more that they desire.

I would like to send my students some care packages and face masks for Valentine's Day to let them know that I am thinking of them and they are not forgotten.

Learning from home has been very challenging but here is a simple but thoughtful way to make the students feel special. I know it will make a huge impact because I sent them Christmas cards and that put a huge smile on their faces.
