My Project
I love working in small groups with my scholars. Scholars also enjoy Teacher Time and the enjoyment we build through reading together. What makes my scholars so special is that they deserve to have new tools and resources to start the school year. The items I have selected with help scholars to keep their pencils sharpened, colorful quality dry-erase markers for rainbow writing (so much fun), clipboards to take writing anywhere, and a clipboard organizer to store in one place. The new rug in the library will be so inviting for scholars to want to read comfortably. I, too, will enjoy reading on the rug with them. The pocket chart helps with organizing small group names and materials. The pocket chart frees up space on my whiteboard. Every child deserves the right to learn how to read. Small groups bring children with similar reading abilities together with explicit instruction, providing meaningful literacy experiences.
Meeting with scholars in small groups enables me to fill any reading comprehension gaps and modify my teaching to suit their needs.
