My Project
My students participate in SEL groups once a week to check in with staff on how they are feeling emotionally to ensure they are able to learn with a clear mind. During this hour we mediate and complete projects with a partner or in a group to collaborate on ideas to support their emotions. Having this rug will designate a safe and comfortable space for them to build the skills necessary to achieve their SEL goals. When students have a safe and relaxed they are able to learn even more.
