My class is a special education class for students with emotional disabilities housed in a small classroom setting. My students function on various levels in mathematics and reading. The goal is to allow students to use tablets and improve their reading levels as they explore the applications with preferred reading while supporting their emotional disability. Students can work independently on their IEP goals. They can also be used in whole group and small group instruction. The device will also give students immediate feedback. The Fire tablets will help support students' emotional disability by minimizing frustration while keeping them actively engaged in various assigned tasks.
