My Project
Flexible seating options in the library will assist my high school students in having a choice of where to work to best accomplish their homework during their 90 minute classes each day. Currently, our library does not have any soft seating options for students, and sitting on hard plastic and metal chairs is not always ideal for all students. Ensuring that my students have comfortable options for working or visiting the library is a key component for getting them into the space and then choosing to return to learn, explore, and connect.
The items I have selected will assist my students by giving them additional seating options to enable them to choose the best learning environment for their specific needs.
There is power in giving students choice to engage in their own learning and I believe these seating options would positively impact my students as they strive to become life long learners.
