My Students

As my students walk into the classroom they can often be heard asking what special event we have for the day! They are eager to experience learning in a fun and interesting way. My kindergarten students are eager to participate in new and hands-on activities they may not have a chance to do at home.

My young students are filled with wonder and joy as they learn something new each day.

Our school is a Title l school in an area where many of the students live in apartments and have limited financial resources. Many students have parents who work long hours and have to be in childcare or with babysitters. At home, they may not have the time or access for some of the opportunities they could get at school.

My Project

Many of my young students are very shy and reluctant to speak in groups. We spend a lot of time in the early years learning how to speak and listen to others. As a kindergarten standard it is important for the children to learn how to speak in complete sentences and communicate with others. An amplifier will help my shy and quiet students be heard and recognized by their peers. It will also help them feel confident as they speak in front of others. Finally microphones are fun and motivating and they can give students to incentive they need to speak in a loud and proud voice!
